Australian Clean Coal: Research, Development and Demonstration
Newcastle Innovation was chosen as a 2010 Hunter Innovation Festival Award Winner for this event.
The Symposium will cover topics such as:
- Carbon capture (post combustion, pre-combustion, oxyfuel)
- Carbon storage (geological sequestration, mineral carbonation)
- Integrating renewable energy sources with coal-fired power generation
- Alternative applications for clean coal
This Symposium is targeted at businesses that wish to learn more about clean coal and the status of the technologies. The Symposium will provide up to date information on clean coal technologies which should assist participants to assess whether clean coal offers opportunities for their business. Participation in the Symposium is not restricted to business. It is open to anyone who is interested in learning about the current status of clean coal in Australia.
Experts on clean coal from around Australia have offered to present at the Symposium. Confirmed speakers include:

The Symposium will offer the audience ample opportunities for input, including a moderated panel discussion at the end.
Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and drinks at the end of the Symposium are provided to maximise networking opportunities.
